Live Hatched Green Bottle Flies

Give your insect-eating pets a natural, engaging feeding experience with our live hatched green bottle flies. Supplied as active adult flies, they are an ideal live-food choice for jumping spiders, mantids, reptiles, amphibians and other suitable insectivorous animals.

Their fast, unpredictable movement encourages natural hunting and feeding behaviour—particularly useful for animals that are reluctant to feed from dishes or tongs. Adult flies are easy to offer straight from the tub and are especially popular for jumpers and other visually hunting invertebrates.

Each pack contains live, newly hatched green bottle flies, carefully prepared for dispatch. Keep the container cool and well ventilated, away from direct sunlight and heat. Offer only as much as your animal will consume, and do not release flies outdoors.

What to expect: Each pot is prepared with casters that are close to hatching, helping the flies stay fresh for transport. You should expect approximately 10–20 flies to hatch from each batch. As hatching is a natural process, the pot may also contain empty casters or some unhatched casters; this is completely normal.
