Whether you’re feeding a single jumping spider or maintaining a collection of hungry little predators, this kit contains all the essentials to get your fruit fly cultures up and running.

• Adult Fruit Fly Starter Culture
• 4 x Culture Tubs
• 4 x Vented Lids
• 4 x Foam Bungs
• Wood Wool Excelsior

• Printed Instructions

Suitable For

• Drosophila hydei
• Drosophila melanogaster
• Jumping Spider Keepers
• Mantis Keepers
• Small Invertebrate Collections

Why Choose a Culture Kit?

Culturing your own fruit flies can be far more economical than continually purchasing ready-made cultures.

By starting a new culture every 1–2 weeks, you can maintain a continuous supply of feeders for your spiders and other invertebrates.

The included Fly Fuel™ media has been formulated to create productive, long-lasting cultures with minimal fuss.

How It Works

  1. Add 30g Fly Fuel™ to a culture tub.
  2. Add 50ml water and allow to absorb.
  3. Add wood wool.
  4. Add approximately 40–50 adult flies from your starter culture.
  5. Fit the vented lid and foam bung.
  6. Keep between 20–24°C.

Sit back and let your new army of tiny airborne snacks get to work.

Please Note

Contains live fruit flies.

For best results, start a new culture every 1–2 weeks rather than all four cultures at once.
